Introducing, “The Sanctuary”…
We’re honored to have one of our cabins featured on YouTube and offered on Airbnb! This log cabin was originally built in the late 1800s and was located in Bath County, Virginia. Once the cabin was numbered and dismantled, it was redesigned in order for it to fit the needs of the current owner and reconstructed in Vesuvius, Virginia. Besides the log walls, the original heart pine flooring, joists, rafters, foundation stone, and chestnut lumber were also salvaged. These reclaimed materials were then used throughout the cabin as wall coverings, trim, flooring, and the stone was used for the interior fireplaces. Once the large timber framed porches, basement, and a modern addition were added, this unique mountain retreat was complete. The cabin is currently used as a family retreat but is also available to rent through Airbnb.
